I am an Oregonian Through and Through.

Although I was born in San Jose Ca, my parents moved to Oregon when I was 1.5 years of age and except for a small period of time when I lived in Santa Rosa CA, the majority of my life has been in Oregon.

For the most part I grew up in St. Helens and went to school there through my sophomore year.  My dad was a boiler maker and his work required him to move around so I attended three high schools, including St. Helens, Clatskanie and I graduated from Redmond High in Central Oregon.  I met my husband in Redmond and we were married in 1980.  After we married, we lived in several different locations (due to his work)  including Medford, Santa Rosa CA for (a short time), Lebanon, Aurora and St. Paul.  Although we lived in St. Paul we worked in Newberg and our daughter attended school in Newberg where she graduated in 1999.  We moved into Newberg in 2000.

Since I have lived in so many different locations throughout my life, I feel I have an insight into the different areas of Oregon as well as an understanding of what it involves to both purchase and sell a home. It is a huge decision and it is not to be taken lightly.  I am not a pushy realtor but rather tend to work with people over a long period of time, allowing clients to make absolutely sure the decision they are making is the right one for them and one they will not regret.  The occasional quick sale is nice, but I am willing to put the time and effort in for the "long haul" as well.

My area of expertise would be in New Home Construction.  My husband has owned a New Home Construction business called Mitchell Homes since 1989.  I have worked with him side by side in every aspect of that business from sitting down with clients to determine what their dream home is, through the entire building process to the very end where they are handed the keys.  I enjoy watching them make a house a home and our business relationship becoming a friendship.  We live in a neighborhood among 37 homes we built.

I decided to pursue getting my real estate license in order to be able to expand the enjoyment I receive from helping people obtain their goals of home ownership, whether that be a first home or a tenth home.  I am allowed to work with all kinds of clients.  It has given me the ability to get to know people from every walk and stage of life, from a first time home buyer, a senior citizen downsizing into their retirement home, or people moving up into a bigger more expensive home.  I enjoy getting to know people and growing new friendships.  Being an real estate agent allows me to do that everyday.
